The College will not tolerate 性骚扰 or other forms of prohibited conduct. This Title IX Grievance Process (“Policy”) prohibits all forms of sexual or gender-based harassment, 歧视, 以及其他不当行为, including non-consensual sexual contact, non-consensual sexual pe网ration, 性剥削, intimate partner violence, 和被人跟踪. HMC encourages the prompt reporting of any incident of sexual or gender-based misconduct to the College and to local law enforcement or civil rights enforcement agencies. Upon receipt of a report, the College will take prompt and effective action by: supporting the individual who makes a report or seeks assistance under this Policy (“Reporting Party”); conducting a review of the reported conduct under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”); addressing the safety of individuals and the campus community; and as warranted, taking disciplinary action against the accused individual (“Responding Party”). The College’s process for investigating and responding to reported Prohibited Conduct by students are contained in the Appendix A (Procedures for Resolving Complaints Against 学生).
报复 (defined in Section 7.F. of this Policy) should be reported promptly to the 第九条协调员 for investigation, which may result in disciplinary action independent of any sanction or interim measures imposed in response to the underlying allegations of 歧视 and/or harassment.
The College encourages all members of our community to participate in the process of creating a safe, 欢迎, and respectful environment on campus. 特别是, the College expects that all HMC community members will take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent or stop an act of 不正当的性行为. Taking action may include directly intervening when safe to do so, enlisting the assistance of friends, contacting law enforcement, or seeking assistance from a person in authority. Community members who chose to exercise this positive moral obligation will be supported by the College and protected from retaliation.
